Your Breville ikon Hemisphere® Blender is made of the highest quality materials and was carefully designed and engineered to let you enjoy your blender for years to come. However, as with any machine, it needs your care in order to operate as it is intended to.

Once cleaning is to start, disassemble the blender and wash all pieces individually or in the dishwasher for those that can be.

Cleaning the Motor Base

  • Wipe the motor base with a soft damp cloth then dry thoroughly.
  • Wipe excess food particles from the power cord only when unplugged.
  • Do not use abrasive cleansers or steel wool to clean the motor base as this will scratch and mar the surface of the blender.

Cleaning the Blender Jug

  • Wash the blender jug in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Alternately, the blender jug can be washed on the bottom shelf of a dishwasher using the standard wash cycle.
  • To remove stubborn food, a kitchen bottle brush can be used to dislodge the food particles before washing.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or steel wool when cleaning the jug as this will scratch and mar the surface.

Cleaning the Breville Assist™ Lid and inner lid.

  • Wash the lids with warm soapy water. Rinse then try thoroughly.
  • Alternately, the lids can be washed on the top shelf of a dishwasher using the standard wash cycle.
  • To remove stubborn food, a kitchen bottle brush can be used to dislodge the food particles before washing.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or steel wool when cleaning the lids as this will scratch and mar the surface and possibly cause them to no longer seal or fit together correctly.

Cleaning the Blade Assembly, Silicon Seal and Blade Holder

  • Remove the blade holder from the blade assembly carefully, taking all necessary precautions with the very sharp blades of the blade assembly. Once the blade holder is removed, slide the silicon washer from the blade assembly.
  • Exercise caution when cleaning the blade assembly. The blades are sharp and extra care needs to be taken when washing them.
  • Wash the washer and the blade assembly in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Alternately, the blade assembly and silicon washer can be washed on the top shelf of a dishwasher using a standard wash cycle.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or steel wool when cleaning the blades and washer as this will scratch and mar the surface and possibly cause them to no longer seal or fit together correctly.

Alternate Cleaning

  • Periodically you can run a cycle in the jar filled 1/2 of the way with warm soapy water to help clean in between the gaskets and washers of the blade assembly.
